Q. How long is a tentative booking valid?
A. A tentative booking can be held for fourteen days, then a deposit will be required to secure the date. Wedding deposits are $1000 to secure your event date and are NOT refundable 6 month out from your date.
A $300 administration charge is due for all refunds before the 6 month period.
Q. Can we have our ceremony on the lawns?
A. Yes the recommended ceremony start time is between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
Q. Do we need to hire any thing for the ceremony area – is there any cost?
A. If you have booked a reception with Cornucopia then we will provide a round table with white linen table cloth and signing chair. You may like to hire a red carpet and chairs or simply use the chairs from the dining area.
Q. How many people can come to our reception?
A. We have a minimum charge of 80 full paying adults on the lawns and 40 on the verandah, and we can fit up to 600 people on the lawns for a sit down dinner or event. On the verandah we can seat up to 80 guests depending on table size or stand up to 130 guests.
Q. Is the balcony available for our reception?
A. All events held from May through September are held on the lawn area, weather permitting, events can be held on the lawns in other months.
Q. Will the restaurant be open at the same time as our reception?
A. The restaurant closes at 5pm and will not be open to the public during your reception
Q. Can anyone else use the lawns while we have our reception?
A. The lawn area in front of the café is exclusively yours, the bike path is public access, however most joggers and cyclists cease using the path around dusk.
Q. Can we bring our bridal cars on the lawns?
A. The access road in front of the café allows your bridal vehicle near to the ceremony area and there is a turning circle at the top end of the road. Special written permission has to be granted to allow vehicles on the lawns.
Q. Where are the toilet facilities?
A. Your guests will utilise the rest rooms inside the café.
Q. Can we design our own menu?
A. The menus in our wedding packages have been design to suit a wide range of tastes, however please discuss with our functions coordinator to make any modification.
Q. Does Cornucopia cater for guests with dietary requirements?
A. Yes, please discuss with our functions coordinator, we can provide a number of options for varying dietary requirements.
Q. Can we bring our own alcohol?
A. We are fully licensed and do not allow for BYO.
Q. Can we smoke at our reception?
A. The event will be a private event so it will be your choice, however smoking is not permitted for indoor events.
Q. What are the size of the tables?
A. For all dinner events on the lawns the tables are 1.8m rounds that seat 8 to 10 guests comfortably. The bridal table can be made up of multiples of 2.4m x 76cm trestle tables. For indoor and balcony events the tables in the restaurant will be used and sizes vary.
Q. Does Cornucopia provide a PA system?
A. We do not have a PA System, you will need to hire any audio visual equipment.
Q. Does Cornucopia provide a dance floor?
A. A 4.8mtr x 4.8mtr “non-slip” dance floor can be provided at an additional cost.
Q. When is payment due?
A. Final payment for the food/set up is due no later than 7 days prior.
